    Market Researcher Assistant

    Market research assistants are responsible for a range of tasks related to advertising and sales. They usually work with a marketing manager. Employment for market research assistants to 2019 is expected to grow strongly. Employment in this very large occupation grew very strongly over the last five years.

    Market research assistants support business growth by undertaking research into sales-related factors such as product mix, pricing and competitor activity.

    –         Undertaking detailed research as directed by marketing managers

    –         Preparing research documentation and dealing with logistics

    –         Communicating with a range of stakeholders and outside organizations

    –         Handling correspondence related to a variety of projects

    –         Analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data

    –         Collaborating with team members as directed

    Business Planning Assistant

    The position is a newly established position in a growing and international organization with the opportunity for professional and personal development.

    A Business Planning Assistant is responsible for the layout of the Business Plan. The candidate will be part of a small and flexible team involved in diversified tasks related to strategic and financial business planning and business performance management. The position will give good insight in the organizational operation and the opportunity to develop professional and personal skills.

     

    Key responsibilities include:

    –         Design the layout of the Business Plan

    –         Assist the Senior Business Planner in driving the Business Planning process

    –         Consolidate data

    –         Assist in facilitating workshops related to the Business Planning process

    Logistics Coordinator

    Works in transportation or warehousing of goods. Processes orders and oversees cycle of order fulfilment. Responsible for making sure supplies, stock, materials, packages, and/or products are processed through the delivery and/or warehouse system efficiently and safely.

     

    Key responsibilities include:

    –          Facilitate the shipping of products from one destination to another

    –          Arrange transportation, schedule staff, and orchestrate deliveries to meet customer demand with little to no delay

    –          Receives products and coordinates delivery

    –          Prepares loads for shipment

    –          Takes steps to avoid quality control issues

    –          Makes sure warehouse capacity is kept at optimal levels

    –          Manages activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met

    –          Oversees inventory of goods and vehicles

    –          Continually reviews freight costs, transportation rates, and/or the prices of raw materials to keep costs down where possible

    –          Streamlines shipping and transportation processes

    Purchasing Officer

    A Purchasing Officer will carry out all tasks allocated by the Purchasing Manager, which may include conducting research on potential vendors and suppliers, inspecting goods, and updating records. Candidates should be able to negotiate pricing and transport costs.

    To be successful as a Purchasing Officer, candidates should be able to multitask and evaluate products and vendors. Exceptional Purchasing Officers should be smooth negotiators with a keen eye for detail.

    Key responsibilities include:

    –          Conducting product research and sourcing new suppliers and vendors.

    –          Sourcing materials, goods, products, and services and negotiating the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals.

    –          Performing inventory inspections and reordering supplies and stock as necessary.

    –          Conducting market research to keep abreast of emerging trends and business opportunities.

    –          Inspecting stock and reporting any faulty items or inconsistencies immediately.

    –          Updating and maintaining records of all orders, payments, and received stock.

    –          Coordinating with the delivery team and following up on delays or orders that have been rescheduled.

    –          Establishing professional relationships with clients as well as vendors and suppliers.

    –          Ensuring all stock is packaged appropriately and delivered to the correct location in a timely manner.

    International Project Assistant

     

    The Project Assistant supports implementation of activities of the project, in particular related to his/her country of posting. S/he carries out tasks in support of project development and implementation and provides administrative support to project management processes.


    The Project Assistant is responsible for the administrative processes and support functions in projects. S/he organizes project events and meetings being responsible for the management and implementation of the logistical arrangements and follow up. S/he compiles and prepares inputs to meetings, project reports, presentations and communication materials and processes activities in support of recruitment and procurement actions as well as manages contracts with contractors. S/he is responsible for maintaining project’s filing system.
    The Project Assistant works under the supervision of the Project Manager ensuring a smooth and timely delivery of project activities under the Project’s work plan and collaboratively with all members of Project Team either in the Headquarters, or other Project Offices. The daily work is supervised by the National Project Officer.

     

    Key responsibilities include:

    –         Assist in implementation of project activities in accordance with the work plan;

    –         Prepare administrative documents, collect and compile inputs to documents;

    –         Draft routine correspondence for project implementation;

    –         Prepare inputs to implementation processes such as recruitment of expert, procurement and contracting;

    –         Assist in procurement processes for conference/seminar services or other procurement actions foreseen in projects;

    –         Process actions in other systems;

    –         Administer contracts with service providers, interpreters and experts;

    –         Collect, compile and organize background materials, documents and other materials for meetings;

    –         Compile project reports;

    –         Prepare inputs to reports, summaries, graphs and inputs to presentations in support to various project activities;

    –         Provide support to the organization of workshops and meetings being responsible for visa arrangements, flight bookings, meeting facilities and accommodation, social program, catering, participant lists, calculations of daily subsistence allowance (DSA);

    –         Is responsible for meeting logistics; meeting rooms, audio-visual equipment, name tags, logistics for arrivals and departures, DSA payments in cash;

    –         Maintain the project filing system;

    –         Compile and prepare inputs to PR materials as required;

    –         Support implementation of project-related communication activities;

    –         Perform any other duties as required.
