UEH announces the direct admission for applicants in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training for Cohort 52 – Full-time Undergraduate Program in 2026

I. ELIGIBILITY AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) grants direct admission to applicants as stipulated in Clause 1; Points a and b of Clause 2; and Clause 4, Article 8 of the current Regulations on admission to undergraduate training disciplines and to the college-level discipline of early childhood education issued by the Ministry of Education and Training (hereinafter referred to as the Admission Regulations 2026), specifically:

Clause 1: Labor Heroes, Heroes of the People’s Armed Forces, and National Emulation Fighters are eligible for direct admission into training programs as specified by the institution.

Clause 2: UEH shall consider and determine the majors, specializations, and training programs for applicant admission in the following cases, based on the specific subject of the award, the applicant’s preferences, current regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, and the entry requirements of the respective training program:

– Point a) Applicants who won first, second, or third prizes in National or International Academic Excellence Competitions. The award must have been conferred no more than three years prior to the time of direct admission consideration.

– Point b) Applicants who won first, second, or third prizes in National or International Science and Engineering Fairs organized or dispatched by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), provided they meet the entry quality assurance thresholds of the training program. The award must have been conferred no more than 03 years prior to the time of direct admission consideration.

Clause 4: UEH shall consider and determine the majors, specializations, and training programs for applicant admission in the following cases, based on high school academic results, the applicant’s preferences, current regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, and the entry requirements of the respective training program:

– Point a) Foreign applicants (who have graduated from high school or equivalent) must meet the language proficiency requirements of the training program (as prescribed by UEH) and in accordance with MOET regulations:

+ Foreign applicants outside government agreements: UEH shall consider and determine the majors, specializations, and training programs for applicant admission based on high school academic results, language proficiency, the applicant’s preferences, current regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, and the entry requirements of the respective training program.

+ Foreign applicants under government agreements: UEH shall implement in accordance with the current regulations of MOET.

– Point b) Applicants who are Vietnamese citizens studying at the high school or vocational secondary level abroad, or studying foreign educational programs in a foreign language in Vietnam, who have achieved a level equivalent to the high school or vocational secondary level in Vietnam and met the language proficiency standards required by the training program in accordance with MOET regulations. Conditions for filing a direct admission application to UEH:

+ Applicants have academic results equivalent to a “Good” rating (academic ranking from “Good” or higher) for the years corresponding to Grade 10, Grade 11, and Grade 12 in the Vietnamese education system (Detailed equivalent academic rankings are provided in the UEH 2026 Undergraduate Admission Information), and

+ Possess a valid international English certificate (as of the date of application submission) that meets the training program’s language requirements, equivalent to an IELTS score of 5.5 (or TOEFL iBT of 62, or 4-skill TOEIC of 670, including minimum scores of 140 for Speaking and 140 for Writing) or higher (Details on equivalent international English certificates are provided in UEH’s 2026 Undergraduate Admission Information), satisfying the entry requirements of the training program the applicant has registered for.

– Point c) Applicants from very small ethnic minority groups as prescribed by current Government regulations.

Conditions for filing a direct admission application to UEH:

+ Applicants with academic results rated as Good (academic ranking of Good or higher) for Grade 10, Grade 11, and Grade 12.

+ Applicants must complete 01 (one) year of preparatory knowledge enhancement before official enrollment. The knowledge enhancement program is prescribed by UEH.

– Point d) Applicants with severe disabilities who possess a certificate of disability issued by a competent authority in accordance with regulations; who have the capacity to pursue certain training programs prescribed by UEH but do not have the capacity to apply through standard admission methods.

Conditions for filing a direct admission application to UEH:

+ Applicants are exempt from the National High School Graduation Examination, and

+ Applicants with academic results rated as Good (academic ranking of Good or higher) and conduct results rated as Good (conduct ranking of Good) for Grade 10, Grade 11, and Grade 12.

+ Applicants meet the health requirements for the registered majors, specializations, and training programs.

II. QUOTA: 5% of the training program quota

III. NUMBER OF PREFERENCES: Maximum of 15 preferences

IV. APPLICATION DOSSIER FOR DIRECT ADMISSION:

Case 1. Applicants applying for direct admission in accordance with Clause 1; Points a, b of Clause 2; and Points c, d of Clause 4, Article 8 of the Admission Regulations 2026:

2. Copy of High School Academic Transcripts (for 3 years of high school);

3. Copy of Citizen Identification Card;

4. Copy of Birth Certificate;

5. Copy of one of the following relevant documents:

+ Copy of the Decision on the conferment of the title of Labor Hero, Hero of the People’s Armed Forces, or National Emulation Fighter (for applicants under Clause 1, Article 8);

+ Copy of the Certificate of first, second, or third prize in National or International Academic Excellence Competitions (for applicants under Point a, Clause 2, Article 8);

+ Copy of the Certificate of first, second, or third prize in National or International Science and Engineering Fairs organized or dispatched by the MOET (for applicants under Point b, Clause 2, Article 8);

+ Copy of the Certificate confirming the applicant as a person with severe disabilities issued by a competent authority in accordance with current regulations (for applicants under Point d, Clause 4, Article 8).

Case 2: Applicants applying for direct admission in accordance with Points a, b of Clause 4, Article 8 of the 2026 Admission Regulations:

1. Direct admission application form: Download form

2. Copies and English/Vietnamese translations of High School Academic Transcripts, High School Graduation Diploma, or equivalent;

3. Certificate of High School Diploma Recognition issued by the Department of Education and Training;

4. Copy of Passport/Citizen Identification Card;

5. Copy of English Language Certificate;

6. Copy of Vietnamese Language Proficiency Certificate as prescribed by the MOET (for foreign applicants).

General notes:

– In case of online submission, applicants must convert all supporting documents into image files (images must be captured from the original documents, not from photocopies).

– Certified copies: These are documents photocopied from the original and certified or notarized by a competent authority.

V. TIMELINE AND METHODS OF SUBMISSION

1. Timeline: From 08:00 AM on May 14 to 05:00 PM on June 20, 2026.

2. Submission methods: Applicants shall perform the online admission registration via the UEH Admission Portal: https://xettuyenk52.ueh.edu.vn

VI. RESULT ANNOUNCEMENT

– Announcement time: Expected at 09:00 AM on June 30, 2026.

– Method: Applicants shall look up the results for Direct Admission in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (Method 1) at the UEH Admission Portal (https://tuyensinh.ueh.edu.vn/).

– Applicants who are notified as eligible for admission under Method 1 must continue to register their admission preferences on the MOET General Admissions Support System from July 02, 2026, to 05:00 PM on July 14, 2026.
